You know how most the fortune kukis have the "Learn Chinese and Lucky Numbers" on the back side. Mom brushes off that side because she is fluent.
The front of my cookie said,
"Your mind understands what you have been taught;
your heart, what is true."
Ahhh. Kinda "yoda-esk", but cute, none the less. It is so poetic ... I'm like on cloud 9 :)
Mom's turn: The back of Mom's cookie said, "Learn Chinese: Don't matter (not related)" or "mei you gan xi." The front of her cookie said,
"Your path is arduous but will be amply rewarding."
She gave me a look and asks, "Ummmm.... What is arduous? .... uuummmmmm. mei you guan xi." Maybe Mr. kuki maker should have translated arduous on the back of the fortune. Ok, who wrote the front and who wrote the back of the fortune? Mr. Kuki Maker also missed a comma before but. I'll let this one slide.
